Iguchi News

Good news to all my fellow Iguchi Yuka fans! A lot of stuff will be coming out involving her. First up is her Postcard Book #1, it’s a collection of her illustrations from Iguchi Yuka no Moon radio show (from episode 1-26) plus extra illustrations. It’s 2000 yen (tax included) and will be sold at TAF (Tokyo Anime Fair) and ACE (Anime Contents Expo). Next is the Tetote song CD and it will be sold at ACE too (price unknown). Tetote is a song intended to raise funds for the victims of the great earthquake that struck Japan last year March 11th. 28 voice actors are going to sing this song and all proceeds will go to the areas hit by the disaster. Cast includes Iguchi Yuka, Noto Mamiko, Kawasumi Ayako, Ono Daisuke, Okamoto Nobuhiko, Kugimiya Rie, Kimura Ryouhei, Fujiwara Keiji, etc. Next one is Iguchi Yuka no Moon DVD2 and it will be on sale on April 30 (will probably be sold on the A&G+ online shop) for 3500 yen (tax included). And the last one is Frontline Mission 3 on June 27 to July 1. No, this is not a video game or an anime about war… It’s a stage play D: Yes, Iguchi Yuka will actually act on stage and the play is about a hotel employee and his daily life in the hotel. According to Iguchi, it’s like an American sitcom so the play is a comedy. Tickets will cost around 6300 yen (tax included) but it’s actually 7,100 yen (tax included) if you pay through a convenience store like Lawson.

TAF is open to the public on March 24-25, advance tickets (sold at Lawson) costs around 800 yen while tickets sold on the day you enter will be 1000 yen. ACE is open to the public on March 31 and April 1, a ticket costs 1500 yen. Note: Iguchi Yuka will appear on ACE’s Red Stage on March 31 for Nisemonogatari.

And that’s it for my news, it’s a great year to be an Iguchi Yuka fan. Nisemonogatari and Symphogear are entertaining, she also appears in Ano Matsu de Matteru. Next season she will be in Sankarea and Upotte!! Oh and she’ll be on A-Channel +Smile OVA too 🙂 So many things to buy, I hope I have enough money D:

  1. Thanks for the info! I’ll be at TAF and will be sure to pick up the postcard book. Too bad I won’t be around for ACE to get the CD.

    • Oh, wow! It’s nice to see a fellow Iguchi fan and living in Japan to boot too! 🙂 I’m planning on going to ACE even if it’s held on Chiba and it will be an expensive trip for me. I just can’t resist the temptation of watching her live for the first time 😀

      • Oh no, I’m not living in Japan, though I’d love to do that for a while. I’m actually traveling to Japan for TAF and to meet up with reps from industry around Tokyo. When I said I wouldn’t be around for ACE, I meant that I’ll be back in the US by then, unfortunately. I’d love to see Iguchi-san in person!

        • Oh, I see. But it’s nice that you’re going to visit Japan and go to TAF.
