Surprise, surprise! It’s Tamayura ~hitotose~ OVA 01!! A Channel +smile OVA 01!!! Wait what? Why did Mamiko subbed A Channel +smile?! Because we feel sorry for the fans who had to wait for a long time for subs to come out, specially those fans of a certain super slow group *coughSHiN-gxcough* who probably have forgotten A Channel exists 😛 It’s true! There’s no ulterior motive behind us subbing this, I mean, just look at the cast! Aoi Yuuki, Kaori Fukuhara, Minako Kotobuki and Yumi Uchiyama. None of my favorite voice actors are in it! D:
Introductions aside, I’d like to point out we still don’t have an encoder so video quality may be below average for some people. We also didn’t add TL notes for some things that needed it because I’m gonna put the notes in this post so read on!
- Po-po-po is supposed to be the sound that pigeons make according to Japan.
- Tansan can either mean a AA size battery or a carbonated drink in Japanese so Yutaka first mistook the cat’s name as a battery and then tries to shake the cat like a drink when it was explained to her.
- A Pass Case is a wallet for holding those electronic cards (such as PASMO or SUICA) used for entry and exit of a train station instead of tickets.
- An Ema is a small wooden postcard like thingy (usually with a picture of a horse) that you use to write your wishes and then hang them on a board in shrines or temples. You will get to see this next episode.
Well, I think that’s it for the notes. I might add some later if I have forgotten it or anything. Enjoy OVA 1 and look forward to OVA 2 coming next 🙂

This release is embarrassing. You desperately need a timer, editor, typesetter, and qc that actually know what they are doing. If you aren’t going to sub right, or at the very least decent, don’t sub at all. Congrats on achieving Hadena-tier rank.

I forgot to mention we don’t have a timer, typesetter and QC. I think our editor did a great job despite being busy with work and stuff. It was all done by 2 guys 🙂 We tried to get people to join us since forever but unfortunately no one is good enough or don’t want to join us >.>

Many thanks for doing this. I didn’t know there was an ova and I love “A Channel.”
Content is King. It can get prettier when it can, if it needs to. Ignore comments by “wow” (aka “WiltedOutWeiner”) and his sour, black-bile kindred of erectile-dysfunctional poop-heads if any more show up. Don’t you just love the way he complains instead of offering to help if he knows so much?
P.S. The ovas’ you did of Tamayura were great fun, thanks also for them. And you did the also fun ovas’ of “To Love Ru”, if I recall correctly? Mamiko: Ruler of the OVA Universe? –It’s a niche.
